I would like to target 1) " Integrating AT to promote access to the general curriculum"
Action: Explore in more depth tools for curriculum integration
ID one or more students and trial the AT
Pre and post assessments using the AT to track progress
2) Implement models for professional development with AT/free resources
Action: set up and track supporting teachers I work with for "anytime learning" and
"just in time" support
Click on the link above to enter my wiki. After taking the self assessment on edtechlocator, I decided to see if I could come up with a way to provide for "anytime learning" and "just in time support" for the elementary teachers I work with. A few of the teachers are working hard to figure out sites and tools that they can use, but many are a little overwhelmed with taking on new technology. If you have a chance to view the "movie", you'll get an idea of how far a few of our teachers have come. After trialing interactive whiteboards, they won a grant to enable all the classrooms to have them! However, as they discuss in the video, they are relying on"hands on, grab the closest person who knows what they are doing," as a way to help other teachers who will be unfamiliar with the technology. I thought that setting up something on-line would add another way for them to share and to get assistance.
